Our Purpose

Challenge

At the Chapel Hill Retreat Center, we know that you want to feel fresh and focused on the things that matter most to you.  The problem is that there are too many demands on your time and too much weight on your shoulders, leaving you feeling overloaded, underwhelmed, and dissatisfied.

Belief

We believe that there is not enough time in the day or energy to meet the increasing demands, but there is an antidote offered in nature. Instead of speeding up, nature invites us to slow down, be who we are, feel soothed and healed, and have our senses put in order (Ehrlich, 1986; Burroughs).

Competency

We understand the pressure of juggling family, career, health, and community commitments. We are high achieving executives with university credentials in adult education and therapeutic horticulture, and we have developed new, evidence-based personal development programs to help you turn down the noise and live a more meaningful life.

...Our purpose is to connect people with plants and deliver transcendent experiences in nature.
